The seventh mini GUSA (Ghana University Sports Association) Games officially opened on January 3 at the University of Cape-Coast (UCC). However, the basketball event tips off today at UCC’s ultra modern gymnasium.

All seven competing institutions have been placed in two groups with Group A housing reigning champions University of Ghana (UG), University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) and University of Development Studies (UDS).

Group B has Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), of Professional Studies (UPSA), host UCC and University of Education-Winneba (UEW).

UPSA takes on Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in the opening game for Group B.

It will be followed by Group A’s opening game between UDS and UENR. UPAC and All Africa University Games Basketball Champs UG will tip its campaign off on Friday January 6 with a game against UDS.

Teams will get an off day on January 7 before the final round of games takes place on the 8th and qualified teams from the groups meet on January 10 for spots in the final game on January 12.
