Teshie Rangers Basketball Club is set to host an array of activities dubbed Rangers Conference to mark the start of the New Year on January 2 at the Camp 2 Court in Teshie.
The Conference will be climaxed with a game between members of the East Teshie Rangers Team and members of the West Teshie Rangers and some invited players at the venue. The event is due to start at 10:00 GMT.
Rangers Conference offers the chance for new players to have a first go around with the team.
The games will also serve as the start for the team’s preparations for the new ABL (Accra Basketball League) Division I season.
The side played in Ghana’s most competitive and best league for the first time last season after gaining promotion from Division II.
Rangers avoided relegation after finishing eight in the standings and qualified for the playoffs in the process where it lost 41-66 to defending and multiple ABL Champions Braves of Customs in the first round.
Aside the league, Rangers featured in the maiden edition of Peace Hoops where it placed fourth in the competition organized in the run up to Ghana’s Presidential and Parliamentary elections in December.
