University of Connecticut (UCONN) men’s basketball team lost its final game of the Maui Invitational Tournament 69-79 to Oregon earlier today as rivals North Carolina University ended the three day annual tournament as champions.

In 26 minutes, the Ghanaian Center showed improved strength in areas other than defense as he assisted on two baskets to go with five rebounds, a block and 11 points in the loss to the Oregon Ducks.

His final outing ended on a high note as the 6 foot 11 inch fourth year Center has started the season on a good note and looks in prime shape to rediscover his supreme form in his second season. However, Brimah has shown an ever improving form on the offensive side of the court as he is scoring more in double figures more this season.

Brimah is on track to be Ghana’s second ever indigene to be drafted into the NBA after Providence College Forward Ben Bentil got drafted 51st by Boston Celtics in June this year.

UCONN was once again led by second year Guard Jalen Adams in scoring as he rained in 27 points. Rodney Purvis was the other UCONN player to score in double figures with 13 points.

The Huskies will take on Boston University on November 30.
