There were only four games played in the NBA on Tuesday night, but it was not short of excitement with shock results.

Nuggets take down Bulls

The Denver Nuggets beat the Chicago Bulls 110-107 at home. Rookie Jamal Murray led the Nuggets with 24 points and six rebounds, Wilson Chandler had 16 points and nine rebounds, while Jusuf Nurkic had a 14-point, 14 rebound double-double. It was a slow night for Congolese guard Emmanuel Mudiay who finished with five points, one rebound and three assists.

The Bulls were once again led by Jimmy Butler with 35 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Dwyane Wade had 22 points, while Taj Gibson and Rajon Rondo had double-doubles (12 points and 10 rebounds for Gibson, and 13 points and 11 rebounds for Rondo).

Pelicans swoop down on Hawks

The New Orleans Pelicans got their fifth win, defeating the Atlanta Hawks 112-94. The Pelicans were led by Tim Frazier with a 21-point, 14 assist double-double, Terrence Jones had 17 points and six rebounds, while E’Twaun Moore and Jrue Holiday combined for 30 with 15 points apiece.

German-Gambian Dennis Schroder led the Hawks with 14 points, four rebounds and seven assists. Kyle Korver also had 14 points with two rebounds and four assists, while Swiss-South African Thabo Sefolosha finished with six points, three rebounds, one assist and a steal.

Knicks douse Blazers

The New York Knicks downed the Portland Trail Blazers 107-103. The Knicks were led by Kristaps Porzingis with 31 points and nine rebounds, Derrick Rose has 18 points, four rebounds and five assists, while Carmelo Antony finished with 17 points and six rebounds.

Damian Lillard led the Blazers with 22 points, five rebounds and six assists, CJ McCollum had 16 points, five rebounds and five assists, while Ed Davis finished with a 14-point 10-rebound double-double. Liberian Noah Vonleh had two points, two rebounds and one block. Nigerian Al-Farouq Aminu did not play.

Russell WestbrookLakers edge OKC

The LA Lakers beat Oklahoma City Thunder 111-109. Jordan Clarkson led the Lakers with 18 points, three rebounds and four assists, Nick Young had 17 points while South Sudanese Luol Deng finished with eight points and three rebounds.

Russell Westbrook led OKC with a 34-point 13-rebound double-double, Steven Adams had 20 points while Nigerian-American Victor Oladipo finished with 14 points, four rebounds and four assists.
