There were no games played in the Global Sporting Platforms (GSP) Basketball League in Sunyani over the weekend as the league is on a break after the first round successfully came to an end. The league is set to resume on Saturday November 26 per reports gathered by Basketballghana.com.
However, management is yet to confirm the date of resumption.The league second season of the league has seen marked improvement in play from all eight sides competing.
Defending champions Suncity Braves are on top of the standings after seven games played in the round amassing without losing.
Despite having a 100 percent record, Braves point tally is a point short after the side earned a default win over University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) on the opening day of the season.
However, Desert Rabbits ended the season’s first half with a big 59-33 win over Barracks Scorpions. The side has improved from last season’s abysmal showing to record three wins in seven games played. LIR Royals occupy last spot in the standings.
GSP’s 2016-2017 season is expected to end just before the Christmas festivities in December.
