Friday night featured 10 great matchups in the NBA, one of which saw Russell Westbrook’s fourth triple-double of the season and the 41st of his career in OKC’s win over the Brooklyn Nets.
Westbrook is on fire
OKC defended home court and defeated the visiting Brooklyn Nets 124-105 on the back of Russell Westbrook’s 30-point, 11-rebound and 13-assist triple-double. Nigerian-American Victor Oladipo had 26 points, five rebounds and six assists while Steven Adams finished with 15 points and six rebounds.
Brook Lopez led the Nets with 22 points, four rebounds and two assists. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Bojan Bogdanovic combined for 26 with 13 points apiece and Anthony Bennett ended the night with 12 points and three rebounds.

Raptors edge Nuggets
The Toronto Raptors beat the Denver Nuggets 113-111. DeMar DeRozan led the Raptors with 30 points, five rebounds and four assists, Kyle Lowry had an 18-point 13-assist double-double while Terrence Ross added 16 points to the team’s tally.
Wilson Chandler had a double-double with 25 points and 10 rebounds, Congolese Emmanuel Mudiay also had 25 points with six rebounds and nine assists, while Danilo Gallinari finished with 21 points and nine rebounds.
Grizzlies prey on Mavericks
In Texas, the Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Dallas Mavericks 80-64. Chandler Parsons had 12 points against his former team, Marc Gasol and Tony Allen combined for 22 with 11 apiece while Zach Randolph finished with 10 points, eight rebounds and three assists.
Harrison Barnes was the leader for the Mavs with 15 points and seven rebounds, Seth Curry and Jonathan Gibson combined for 22 with 11 apiece and Tunisian Salah Mejri had a slow game with three rebounds and a block in his 11 minutes on the court.

Spurs school Lakers
The San Antonio Spurs beat the LA Lakers 116-108 on the back of Kawhi Leonard’s 23-point 12-rebound double-double. LaMarcus Aldridge had 23 points and six rebounds while Pau Gasol finished with 16 points, five rebounds and two assists.
Lou Williams led the Lakers with 24 points, Nick Young and Jordan Clarkson combined for 42 (22 and 20 respectively), Julius Randle was one rebound short of a double-double with 13 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. South Sudanese Luol Deng ended the game with 10 points, six rebounds and three assists.
Davis makes Pelicans fly
The New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 113-101. Anthony Davis had a monster night with 38 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Jrue Holiday had 21 points, two rebounds and seven assists and Terrence Jones finished with 15 points, seven rebounds and two assists.
Damian Lillard led the Blazers with 27 points, CJ McCollum had 24 points, while Mason Plumlee finished with a 13-point 12-rebound double-double and seven assists.
Hornets swarm Hawks and take them down
The Charlotte Hornets defeated the Atlanta Hawks 100-96. French-Cameroonian Nicolas Batum led the Hornets with a 24-point 10-rebound double-double, Cody Zeller had 23 points while Kemba Walker put up 21 points, five rebounds and six assists.
Paul Millsap led the Hawks with a 22-point 13-rebound double-double, Dwight Howard had a 10-point and 18 rebound double-double before he was ejected from the game, Kent Bazemore finished with 19 points while German-Gambian Dennis Schroder had 11 points and five assists. Swiss-South African Thabo Sefolosha did not play.
Clippers beat Kings
The LA Clippers dethroned the Kings in Sacramento beating them 114-107. Blake Griffin led the Clippers with 29 points, seven rebounds and six assists, JJ Redick had 26 points, while DeAndre Jordan and Chris Paul finished with double-doubles (16 points, 12 rebounds for Jordan and 11 points 12 assists for Paul). Cameroonian Luc Mbah a Moute had seven points one rebound and one assist.
DeMarcus Cousins led the Kings with his 38-point 13-rebound double-double, Ty Lawson had 18 points, seven rebounds and eight assists, while Darren Collison finished with 16 points, two rebounds and two assists.

In other games, the Golden State Warriors beat the Boston Celtics 104-88, the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Detroit Pistons 104-81 and the Phoenix Suns beat the Indiana Pacers 116-96.
