A maiden All-Star tournament featuring the brightest spots on teams that competed in the recently ended Tema Community Basketball League will take place in December this year following the successful conclusion of the league.

According to league organizer Fred Yeboah, the special tournament will take place next month at Tema’s Community 4 Court. However, he failed to state a specific date the tournament will tip off as measures are still being considered.

The ended season had several players star for various teams in the league including Communities 2, 4 12, Nungua Coldstore and Ashaiman Lions. League Most Valuable Player Kwame Boamah Djan and athletic Guard-Forward Kofi Agyei of Coldstore, Elvis Pobi-Siaw and Carl Kuzagbe of Ashaiman Lions are likely to make the roster.

Kingsley Quist and Joseph Boye of Flashlights of Tema New Town and Kent Fosu of Community 4 seem primed to make the list.

Nungua Coldstore ended the season as winners following two straight wins over Ashaiman Lions in the finals series. The title deciding Game 2 ended 47-37 for Coldstore.

The third place game however, is yet to be decided as the league board deliberates on who gets the bronze medal after Game 3 between Community 12 and Flashlights was called off.
