Points difference is likely to be used to determine third place winners of the Tema Community Basketball League in the wake of the third place series being called off Basketballghana.com gathers.

Game 3 of the series between Community 12 and Flashlights of Tema New Town was scheduled to take place over the weekend at the Tema Community 4 Court. However, the game was called off for reasons yet to be officially communicated by the league board.

Due to the postponement, winners of the bronze medal have been halted leading to speculations on which team will follow league winner Nungua Coldstore and runner up Ashaiman Lions in the end of season standings.

However, per reports gathered by Ghana’s leading hoops portal, the point difference recorded after two games will be the main deciding factor to declare which team places third. In Game 1, Community 12 lost 33-39 to Flashlights before earning a 70-65 win in Game 2.

Should that stand, Flashlights would win the bronze medal of the league’s maiden edition.
Nungua Coldstore emerged league winners by beating Ashaiman Lions in two straight games in the series including a 47-37 win in Game 2.
