Nungua Coldstore Shooting Guard Emmanuel Wolff was adamant he will win more medals by the close of the year after helping Coldstore to win the Tema Community Basketball League last month ahead of Ashaiman Lions.

However, his streak of medal wins for the year came to an end over the weekend as Coldstore lost 27-36 to Tema Central in the opening round of the Ebi Bright Basketball Tournament. The loss caused Nungua to miss out on the first place trophy which went to Tema Central after the side beat Flashlights of Tema New Town 44-40.

The University of Ghana (UG) player has been on a winning run this year as the teams he has featured in have emerged winners at various tournaments. In January, UG won the GUSA before adding the UPAC Championship.

The side moved to Johannesburg, South Africa to win the All Africa University Games and sweep team awards at the 2016 Ghana Basketball Awards in August.

The former Koforidua Secondary Technical School standout also helped Adenta Leopards earn promotion to Accra Basketball League’s Men’s Division I by topping the lower tier and playing a key role in Nungua’s win in Coldstore’s win the Basketball Battle Tournament prior to the commencement of the Tema League postseason.
