Aninagyei Osei has commended organizers of the Ebi Bright Basketball Tournament for staging a wonderful competition that had Osei’s Tema Central side win after beating Flashlights of Tema New Town 44-40 in the final.

Osei, who was named Most Valuable Player of the Tournament, was adamant the one day competition was a success and competitive. National Democratic Congress aspiring Member of Parliament (MP) for Tema Central Constituency Ebi Bright fully funded the tournament.

“It was well organized, everything was on point, I had the opportunity to a picture the (Sports) Minister (Nii Lante Vanderpuye) and aspiring MP. That alone is a big compliment it’s not everyday that you get your Minister of Youth and Sports” he said in an interview with Basketballghana.com after scooping the two trophies.

Veteran players including Fred Yeboah and Sandy Asiedu were heavily involved in putting together the tournament that had four male sides and two female side compete.

A select Tema female side beat its’ counterparts from Accra 33-20 to complete a Tema sweep in the tournament. Ashaiman lions and Nungua Coldstore failed to make the final after losing the opening round.
