Management of Global Sporting Platforms (GSP) Basketball League in Sunyani has moved Week 6 games of the young league from Sunyani Polytechnic Court to Eusbett Hotel Court Basketballghana.com can confirm.
The move, announced in a statement, is to ensure games are honored after Sunyani Polytechnic’s Court got shut down for renovation. As such, the Eusbett Court, which hasn’t hosted any league games since Week 2, will welcome all eight teams.
“GSP Management. Please be informed that the league matches will be played at EICC (Eusbett) tomorrow” the statement said.
Having added the Eusbett Court to Sunyani Polytechnic’s and University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) Courts for this season, situations like the one mentioned above, can easily be dealt with by management.
Games to be played in the round will feature defending champions and league leaders Suncity Braves take on bottom ranked LIR Royals in the opening game. Desert Rabbits play West Siders and Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) Saints take on Barracks Scorpions.
UENR plays Sunyani Polytechnic in the final game of the round in a tertiary battle. Both teams also find themselves in the bottom half of the standings; UENR in fourth place and Sunyani in fifth.
