Fixtures for the sixth week in the ongoing GSP Basketball League will be honored at the Sunyani Polytechnic Court on Saturday November 5 with defending champions taking on LIR Royals in the opening game at 8:00 am.
A battle of teams experiencing contrasting fortunes will take place as the improving West Siders take on the free falling Desert Rabbits team. After grabbing a win in the second week, Rabbits have lost subsequent games resulting in a last from bottom position in the eight team league.
West Siders sit second in the league standing behind leaders Braves following a good run of form.
Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) Saints will square off against Barracks Scorpions in a battle between the two other occupants of the top four. Former league leaders Scorpions will be aiming to halt a run of two losses including last weekend’s 30-45 loss to Braves.
Saints on the other hand, will be hoping to win the game and keep up with Braves and West Siders.
Home side Sunyani Polytechnic will play University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) in the final game of the round. Both teams are in need of a win to escape from the bottom half of the standing. Below is the full list of fixtures for the round:
