Game 3 of the Community 12-Flashlights of Tema New Town series to determine third place winner of the Tema Community Basketball League will be honored on November 13 at the municipality’s Community 4 Basketball Court Basketballghana.com can confirm.
Having had a league title winner already in Nungua Coldstore after the side beat Ashaiman Lions 69-59, the upcoming weekend was the logical date to play the final game of the series and season. However, the league’s board has decided to have the game played on November 13 in order to accommodate team needs and another tournament at the venue.
The Ebi Bright Basketball Tournament will take place on Sunday November 6 and Flashlights is one of four teams invited to compete in the one day tournament. By moving the game to a later date, Flashlights will be able to play the tournament and Game 3.
Tema Central Constituency’s National Democratic Congress candidate Ebi Bright is the bankroller of the tournament that has been named after her. The aspiring Member of Parliament oversaw the recent upgrade of the venue’s lighting system.
Community 12 tied the best of three series in Game 2 with a 70-65 win.
