After a successful year that has been filled with wins in several competitions, Shooting Guard Emmanuel Wolff has stressed there are more medals to come since the year isn’t over.
He made the statement exclusively to Basketballghana.com after his side; Nungua Coldstore beat Ashaiman Lions 69-59 in the Tema Community Basketball League Final, to win the competition’s maiden edition.
The win is the latest in a long line of triumphs in what has been a remarkable year for the former Koforidua Secondary Technical School (K.S.T.S.) standout who scored the go ahead three point shot to win the UPAC Championship for University of Ghana.
“The year is not over yet but it’s been amazing. What’s that, four gold medals in one year? The year isn’t over…let’s see what else I win” he said when describing how the year has panned out for him.
University of Ghana proceeded to win the All Africa University Games Basketball competition in Johannesburg, South Africa before his Adenta Leopards side gained promotion to the Accra Basketball League Division I by claiming gold in the lower tier.
His gold medal haul for the year should count as five since Coldstore beat Ashaiman Lions 47-37 to win Tema’s postseason warm up “Basketball Battle” Tournament.
Wolff and Nungua will have another title shot as the side has been penned as one of four teams set to compete in the Ebi Bright Tournament on Sunday November 6 at the Tema Community 4 Basketball Court.
