Marshalls University College Male Basketball Team new recruit Emmanuel Summers Salifu has stated he is focused on not just playing but making an impact at the College.

The young Guard was admitted to Ghana’s rising basketball powerhouse earlier this week after impressing at the 2016 High School and College Draft.

Marshalls Coach James Okine used one of three picks allotted to the College on the former Koforidua Secondary Technical School player. Getting picked by the team means a reunification with older brother Mishael, who played for the team after starring in high school for Mfantsipim.

“Am not just going to school to play for Marshalls but am going there make an impact in whatever activities am going to be in”.

“It’s kind of amazing because we played on the same team in jhs (5 Garrison Basic School Junior High School) so being on the same team with him in University, it’s not a problem for me it’s just that we are going to click very well” he said when addressing his impending partnership with his brother in an interview with Basketballghana.com.

Marshalls University missed out on a final four berth at this year’s UPAC (Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges) Basketball Championship a year after making the round.
