Marshalls University College has admitted students selected at the 2016 High School and College Draft earlier this year.
The reigning PUSAG Basketball Champions selected Guards Summers Salifu and Emmanuel Cudjoe Armah after the duo impressed following a four day workout where several prospective student athletes were taken through basketball drills.
Marshalls Coach James Okine was at the institution to oversee the players complete the registration process. After missing out on a final four place at the UPAC (Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges) Basketball Championship, management of the College deemed it necessary to deepen the roster.
Adding the young guards further enriches Marshalls team which features 2016 Tertiary Player of the Year nominee David Asingar, 2015 High School Male Player of the Year nominee Mishael Jamani Salifu among a slew of top players.
Jamani will team up with his brother Summers in the backcourt for the upcoming season where the side is tipped to defend the PUSAG title and go beyond the quarters in the ultra competitive UPAC Championship.
The High School and College Draft is an initiative of top rated sports management firm Rite Sports Limited, to aid talented individuals secure scholarships to Ghana’s best secondary and tertiary institutions.
