University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) was the biggest winner of the fourth week of the GSP Basketball League after recording a sensational 65-27 win over hitherto unbeaten Barracks Scorpions side.
The loss is the Scorpions first of the season and sees the surprise leaders of the Sunyani-based league miss out on a perfect run thus far in the season. On the other hand, the win is a major boost for UENR to get what has been an underwhelming start to the season back on track.
In other games of the round, West Siders delivered a painful 25-22 loss on Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) Saints to condemn the Saints to a second straight loss in as many weeks.
Home side Sunyani Polytechnic got shocked massively by an unfathomable 29-30 loss at the hands of LIR Royals. Royals heading into the fixture ranked last in the standing after failing to register a win in three attempts and definitely looked set for a fourth loss before an inspired performance earned the side the win.
The final game of the round had defending champions Suncity Braves score a 45-30 win over Desert Rabbits. Below is a detailed look at how things panned in Week Four:
UENR 65-27 Barracks Scorpions
West Siders 25-22 CUCG Saints
Sunyani Polytechnic 29-30 LIR Royals
Suncity Braves 45-30 Desert Rabbits
