Former Braves of Customs and Accra Polytechnic standout Romeo Wilfred Enan is set to feature in the upcoming FIBA Zone Three African Championship for Nigerian side Kano Pillars after impressing in his debut season in the DSTV Nigerian Premier Basketball League.
Pillars qualified after winning the team’s fifth national title.
Basketballghana.com gathers Enan, who played for league side Kwara Falcons, has been selected by powerhouse Kano Pillars to compete in the tournament that is slated to tip off on October 21 and run till October 30.
In his first season since leaving the Accra Basketball League Men’s Division I, Enan’s stellar form earned him an All-Star spot where he got named the Most Outstanding Player. He also competed in the Slam Dunk Contest.
The Ivorian international dominated the Ghanaian scene by winning the Tertiary Most Valuable Player at the 2015 Ghana Basketball Awards and helping Accra Polytechnic and Braves win multiple titles before leaving for Nigeria.
He is set to get reacquainted with former Braves teammates as the latter will represent Ghana at the competition mere days after winning the 2016 Accra League by beating Tema Youth 67-52. Spots at the main Championship will be up for grabs.
