Fire Service beat Reformers in the regular season.

Reformers Guard Phillip Barley’s wish has been granted as Fire Service’ 59-64 loss to Tema Youth in the semi final playoff game sets up a rematch between the former and Reformers of Prisons.

The rematch will be for the third and fourth places at the Lebanon House Court which tips off at 15:00 GMT later today on the final day of the 2016 Accra Basketball League Men’s Division I season; Braves of Customs and Tema Youth will be engaged in the title game after.

Speaking to Basketballghana.com after his side lost 55-75 to defending champions Braves of Customs, Barley tipped Tema to make the final game ahead of Fire stating, “I think Tema Youth will qualify to the finals because we want to play Fire (Service) again because they scored us in the regular season and we want to score them.”

“They (Braves) are very good team, we played our hearts out at the end we just lost. Our defense was a little bit shaky. Our offense was perfect but the defense was shaky” when addressing the loss to Braves before saying “we have to win, we have to be third”.

Fire Service beat Reformers 63-62 in the regular season earning Fire the seed whilst Reformers ended the season in sixth place.

Barley was promoted from Reformers Junior side to the senior side before the start of the postseason. Junior Reformers placed third at the Peace Hoops Tournament.
