Following respective losses to Braves of Customs and Tema Youth, Reformers of Prisons and Fire Service will face off in the third and fourth place match on 2016 Accra Basketball League Men’s Division I final day.

Reformers suffered a 55-75 to Braves as Fire Servce lost 59-64 to Tema Youth in the semifinals to setup a repeat of the regular season cliffhanger that had Fire eke out a 63-62 win to seal fourth place in the regular season standings.

The loss condemned Reformers to a sixth place finish.

The game is sure not to disappoint as both teams produced an absolute show stopping encounter when a remarkable half court shot from Reformers Elvis Pobi-Siaw characterized an exciting matchup. However, both share a history of animosity as a brawl ensued after the first meeting between the two got cancelled due to rain.

Rematches dominate the theme of the league’s final day as a rematch of last season’s title game between Tema Youth and Braves will be repeated on Saturday. Tema and Braves have qualified to compete at the FIBA Zone Three Africa Championship in Togo’s capital, Lome between October 21 and October 30.
