Ahead of the 2016 Accra Basketball League Men’s Division I postseason, Teshie Rangers Coach Wisdom Etsorgali has stated his side is “unperturbed” by the daunting task of facing regular season leaders and defending champions Braves of Customs in the playoffs.

Rangers who have made the playoffs in their debut season in Division I, will meet Braves in the first round at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu, Accra on Wednesday, October 5 with the game tipping off at 17:00 GMT.

Heading into the tie with a whopping 36-100 loss to the same side in the regular season, Etsorgali is confident his side will compete against the odds on favorite in an interview with Basketballghana.com. He said:

“We are not perturbed at all…we lost terribly against CEPS (Braves) and that was our first time ever playing with CEPS but nonetheless we are not perturbed at all. Right from the beginning of the season, we came strong, we came to compete unfortunately we had our biggest loss against CEPS. The regular season game was a preparation towards the playoffs definitely we are coming to compete”.

The opening day of playoff games will have second seed Tema Youth take on seventh seed DC Dynamics. Ghana Navy takes on Fire Service and Reformers of Prisons play Tudu Magic on Thursday October 6 at the same venue.
