Ghana’s qualified representatives for the upcoming FIBA Africa Zone 3 Club Championship Braves of Customs and Tema Youth, will be in action on Wednesday October 4 at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu, Accra.
The pair will be involved in first round playoff games of the Accra Basketball League Men’s Division I against Teshie Rangers and DC Dynamics respectively. Ghana Navy will play Fire Service after home side Tudu Magic takes on Reformers of Prisons in the opening game on October 6.
Both teams are set to compete in the tournament with an eye for making it into the main African Club Championship tournament. The Zone 3 Championship is set to take place in Togo’s capital, Lome between October 21 and October 30.
The postseason comes at a crucial point in both teams preparations to the competition as playing consistently in what already looks like a repeat of last season’s final rankings, would put both teams in the right mode to play as the Accra League post season ends on October 14.
Braves head into the game aiming to repeat the 100-36 trouncing it delivered it on Teshie Rangers in the regular season whereas Tema come up against Dynamics in a tricky duel.
