The Lebanon House Court will later today host four teams feature in the semi finals of the Peace Hoops 2016 Basketball Tournament as a spot in the maiden edition of the tournament is up for grabs.
Junior Reformers from Osu, Galaxy from Tudu, Teshie Rangers from Teshie and Asylum Down and Ridge have sealed spots in the final four of the competition that aims to promote peace awareness in Ghana’s communities through basketball ahead of Ghana’s national and parliamentary elections.
Reformers will play Ridge after Galaxy takes on Teshie Rangers in the opening game.
Reformers and Galaxy head into the semis having won all games in Groups B and A respectively with Reformers earning three wins on the back off wins over Teshie and Nima Novas and default points following DC Dynamics failure to honor the tournament.
Galaxy’s 47-34 win over Ridge on Day 3, sealed its place in the semis and will be looking forward to a spot in the final game on Saturday October 1 in front of a partisan crowd. Losers of the semifinal games will face off in the bronze medal game before the finals.
