The 2016 Accra Basketball League Men’s Division I regular season will end later today at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu as Braves of Customs take on home side Tudu Magic at 14:00 GMT.
The rearranged game was originally set to be honored earlier this month but did not take place as rain rendered the court unplayable. The teams had a go at each other last weekend as Braves turned a 5-10 first quarter deficit to a 22-20 lead before second half only for the game to be called off again due to rain.
Division leaders Braves will not be affected by the game’s outcome but a 63 point win for Magic will put the side in second place ahead of Tema Youth in the standings. Should such a situation occur, the playoff picture will change as the side will end up taking on DC Dynamics instead of Reformers of Prisons based on the side’s current position.
Today also marks the final day of registration for clubs who will compete in the playoffs later this week as the three day exercise ends today. The postseason starts on Friday September 30 and teams will compete to unseat reigning champions Braves of Customs.
