The Accra Basketball League Men’s Division I 2016 season will be concluded on Wednesday September 28 as Braves of Customs will play Tudu Magic at the Lebanon House Court at 14:00 GMT.
The game which took place on Friday September 23, was rained off in the second half with Braves leading 22-20 after clawing back from a 5-10 first quarter deficit.
With both teams having secured playoffs spots, Magic can alter the playoff schedule should it win with a 63 point difference over Braves. That kind of win will put Magic ahead of second placed Tema Youth; Braves on the other hand, will lead the standings irrespective of the result on Wednesday.
The game which was intense right from tip off had Guard Jeffrey Djimate make four three point shots to give Braves the game’s lead despite the efforts of Steven Forster and tremendous work on the boards from the likes of Emmanuel Gyapong of Magic.
Prior to the rain induced cancellation, Reformers of Prisons lost 62-63 to Fire Service leaving Fire on fourth whilst Reformers slipped to sixth on the standings and will face either Tema or Magic depending on results from Magic’s last game.
