The Accra Basketball League Men’s Division regular season will conclude later today at the Lebanon House Court with a repeat of the nearly concluded game between Fire Service and Reformers of Prisons tipping the round off at 15:30 GMT.
Division leaders and defending champions Braves of Customs will play home side Tudu Magic in the follow up game in what promises to be an exciting conclusion to the 2016 regular season before matters heat up again in the playoffs due to commence on September 30.
Fire’s tie against Reformers was close to the finish line before the game got cancelled due to the poor nature of the playing surface after rains flooded the court. With two minutes and 30 seconds left to play, all involved were eager to conclude the game with both teams playing despite the uptick in intensity from the rain until a slip signaled the cancellation.
Braves on the other hand, will be looking to end the season with its perfect record intact as the side heads into the fixture against Tudu Magic on the back of eight wins from eight games played. The side on Wednesday beat Fire Service 67-49. A win for Magic will see the side earn its sixth win of the season.
