Braves of Customs will be in the running for to topple Accra Basketball League Men’s Division I leaders Tema Youth as the side takes on Fire Service later today at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu, Accra as Ghana celebrates Founder’s Day.
The game tips off at 16:00 GMT.
The defending champions have won all seven games played this season and a win against Fire will put the side on 16 points and on top of the standings ahead of Youth who have 14 points for the season. The outstanding game will be the third try as two previous ties between both sides have been cancelled due to a myriad of reasons.
On the other hand, Fire Service will be desperate for a win as the side lies seventh in the standings with 11 points from seven games played and be hoping to conclude the game in the wake of the team’s cancelled game against Reformers of Prisons. With the score tied at 65 and two minutes and 30 seconds left to play, heavy rain rendered the court unplayable signaling referees to call off the game.
It has since been moved to Friday September 23 where Braves will play Tudu Magic in another outstanding fixture to close out the regular season.
