Defending Accra Basketball League Champions Braves of Customs will take on Fire Service in an outstanding game in the Men’s Division I at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu, Accra on Wednesday September 21.
The game will be played on the backdrop of Ghana’s Founder’s Day celebration where both sides will look forward to finally getting this fixture over with in light of two prior postponements earlier in the season.
Braves head into the fixture in good form after trouncing Teshie Rangers 100-36 in another outstanding game last week but for Fire Service, rain disrupted an exciting tie against Reformers of Prisons with the score tied at 65 and little over two minutes to play.
Both teams will be in the hunt for a win as avoiding a loss will go a long way to have a higher seed for the playoffs. Braves sit in second place in the standings with 14 points having won all seven games thus far as Fire lie seventh.
The two games involving the sides had to be postponed for varied reason with the first cancellation being rained off and the second due to administrative challenges leading referees to avoid officiating the tie all together.
