Later today at the Lebanon House, the latest round of the Accra Basketball League Men’s Division I games will be played between playoff bound sides. Defending champions Braves of Customs will take on home side Tudu Magic and Reformers of Prisons will play Fire Service.
For Fire and Braves the respective game will certainly not be the last for the regular season but for Reformers and Magic, it will mark the end of their regular seasons respectively.
Magic will have a tough task beating Braves as the latter is yet to lose a game this season and is on the back off a 100-36 shellacking of Teshie Rangers in an outstanding game played on Wednesday September 14. The home side suffered a 55-64 loss to Fire over the weekend to have its five game winning run halted with key figures Emmanuel Amoako and Evans Anfom missing out in the clash.
Reformers on the other hand, look to have no problems shaking off any game rustiness as the side is just days removed from competing at the After 7 Cowbell Fetu Afahy3 Basketball Tournament placing third in the competition.
The sixth placed side takes on seventh placed Fire Service who ended a run of three straight losses by beating Magic 64-55 in its last game played over the weekend. The side is much deeper with the return of Swingman Farahat Tamimu after his four game suspension.
