Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I outfits Braves of Customs and Teshie Rangers, will faceoff at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu in a rescheduled game after the game was postponed due to referees refusal to officiate the game.
The postponed game followed Fire Service’ 64-55 win over home side Tudu Magic in an exciting matchup as both sides battled for better playoff seeding after qualifying to the postseason. Should the game take place as advertised, the game will be Braves first league action after seven weeks of not featuring in the league.
The side has had to endure multiple postponements including one against Fire Service during the barren span. Braves is yet to lose a game this season after playing six games and will be hoping to complete the season unbeaten and defend the title it won last season.
Rangers on the other hand, started life in Division I with two wins in three games but the side has failed to win a game since and only made the cut thanks to Holy Family and Air Force faring worse; the latter pair have been demoted to Division II. The matchup is likely a prelude to the postseason where the likely eight seed Rangers will meet the likely first seed Braves.
