Fire Service earned a deserved 64-55 win over Tudu Magic in the Accra Basketball League Men’s Division I at the Lebanon House in Tudu.

The entertaining game which had bits of physical battles between players turned out to be the game fans gathered court side, were expecting. The sides went at each other right from tipoff with barrage of three point shots dominating the scoring variant in the game.

Players from the sides teamed up to win Greater Accra Region a gold medal at the just ended After7 Cowbell Fetu Afahy3 Basketball Tournament held in Cape-Coast. But Daniel Amartey got the three points shots going with some makes to reduce Fire’s deficit at the end of the first quarter to just two points (20-22).

But Magic kept on plugging away despite losing the game’s lead as Steve Forster produced a neat bounce pass for Guard Shadrack Nii Koi Kotey to score an easy layup; Nii Koi later drained a three point shot to make matters close.

Fire recomposed itself down the stretch after several physical confrontations threatened to mar the game to put the game to bed but not before Center Joseph Boye threw down a monster dunk.

Braves of Customs game against Teshie Rangers was called off after referees refused to call the game and walked off the court to the surprise of all. The incident marks the second straight Braves game that has been postponed.
