Shoot For Life-a Christian organization that uses basketball clinics to reach young individuals has plans of promoting the game more by expanding their works.

The ministry recently concluded a three day coaching clinic in Ghana’s Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi where trainers in and around the city were taken through extensive stretches detailing new trends in the game with instructors from Christ Through Sports.

Speaking to Basketballghana.com Opoku Ware School Coach, participant and close associate with Ministry President Pastor Vincent Asamoah, Alexander Obeng Takyi shared the information of intended plans to reach other areas.

“Shoot for Life Ministry with their American partners have planned to expand their ministry to other parts of the continent, due to the fact that Pastor Vincent flew to Uganda to make a presentation on establishing a Shoot for Life Ministry there” he said.

Referees also benefited from the program just as much as Ghana Basketball Awards Development Awards Development Coach of the Year Benjamin Sarpong of Chiefs Basketball Academy. Players who have benefited from previous editions of the program, have gone on to play for high schools in the city including Prempeh College.
