Navy and Reformers of Prisons are set to feature in the first game in the female division at the 2016 After7 Cowbell Afahy3 Basketball Tournament taking place at the ultra modern Cape-Coast Sports Stadium.
University of Cape-Coast basketball court was originally scheduled to host the annual basketball extravaganza but was replaced at the last instance with the regional capital’s brand new edifice.
Despite both sides being familiar with each other having recently completed this year’s Accra Basketball League, Navy will feature a slightly altered roster from the one that ended the season in fifth place a with Point Guard Annabel Dsane headlining a contingent from Air Force infused into Navy’s team.
However, the game will be the third matchup of the day following Takoradi’s shock 25-23 win over Ghana Police and Greater Accra select side’s 31-22 win over Eastern Region’s side featuring the likes of University of Ghana’s Emmanuel Wolff.
The two day basketball tourney is organized by After7 Basketball Club in association with Promasidor Ghana Limited-producers of leading dairy product Cowbell.
