The 2016 After7 Cowbell Basketball Tournament has tipped off in brilliant fashion with a select side from Takoradi beating Ghana Police Male Team 25-23. However, the game was played at the ultra modern Cape-Coast Stadium in Ghana’s Central regional capital, Cape-Coast.
Basketballghana.com can confirm the game was scheduled to be played at the University of Cape-Coast Basketball Court. The rapid change in venue was confirmed later in the day after several differing opinions dominated the chatter in the lead up to the game.
Reformers of Prisons Coach Prosper Agbleta, whose female and male sides are competing in the tournament, had confirmation of the venue mere hours before tip off after enduring a torrid time getting to the stadium in the packed streets of Cape-Coast.
Greater Accra Region select side will take on a select side from Eastern Region in the second game of the day with the ladies set to play after.
The two day tourney is being put together by After 7 Basketball Club and Promasidor Ghana Limited –producers of top selling dairy product, Cowbell.
