The annual basketball festivities of the Fetu Afahy3 Festival in Cape-Coast has tipped off with a Youth Basketball Clinic taking place with several children from Ghana’s Central regional capital, Cape-Coast, participating.

Renowned youth development coaches Claudius Thompson and Alfred Davies of Hoops Care International are assisting in the program headlined by Promasidor Ghana Limited producers of top selling Dairy product Cowbell.

Tutoring young players on the game falls in line with a key area Cowbell has pledged to support according to Brands Manager Joseph Ashong who stated in an interview with Basketballghana.com that, “we have defined our role… that is helping the players to understand what the game is all about”.

As part of improving the knowledge base of players about game rules, the company organized a clinic to reorient stakeholders about developments in the laws of the game at the Lebanon House forecourt in Accra in August.

The company will headline the main basketball tournament during the festival where multiple teams from several parts of the country will compete for honours between September 2 and September 4 at the University of Cape-Coast basketball court.

Male and female teams will contend for titles in respective divisions.
