This year’s Fetu Afahy3 Festival Basketball Tournament is set to take place at the University of Cape-Coast between Friday September 2 and September 3. The historic basketball tournament will be held in Ghana’s Central regional capital, Cape-Coast during the celebration of the town’s Fetu Afahy3 Festival.
During the two day tournament, several players from different spots in the country will be merged into various teams to compete against other ensemble cast from other regions in the country. Initial reports gathered by Basketballghana.com indicate members from Accra Basketball League outfit Reformers of Prisons and Ghana Police have been invited to compete in the tourney.
Promasidor Ghana Limited-producers of top selling dairy product Cowbell- is scheduled to sponsor the event just as it did for last year’s edition. In anticipation of the compelling series of games at hand, the company organized a first ever Basketball Clinic at the Lebanon House forecourt earlier this month.
The Clinic was organized to reorient stakeholders with game rules and changes to avoid conflicting views and instances during games. Members of the referees association including 2016 Ghana Basketball Awards Referee of the Year nominee Samuel Badu were present at the event.
