The annual high school carnival “Roll Kall” is set to feature its rebranded basketball tournament dubbed “Summer Ball” on Saturday September 3 at the Aviation Social Center in Ghana’s capital, Accra.
Speaking to Basketballghana.com after making an appearance on top rated basketball television show “Fast Break”, Business Development Manager Nhyira Boakye stated the new and improved basketball tourney will be different from prior editions as it will have more teams from senior high schools scattered all over Ghana compete in the one day event.
“Over the past six years we’ve been playing basketball…and I realized there is a gap so I decided to rebrand the basketball segment of Roll Kall dubbed the Summer Ball. So this year we happen to invite about 20 schools throughout the country for the Summer Ball 2016”.
Schools set to play on Saturday include Archbishop Porter Girls High School, Mfantsipim School, Adisadel College, Labone Senior High School, Accra Academy, Keta Senior High School, St. Peter’s Senior High School among others.
The one day program has been endorsed by the Ghana Basketball Association.
