Former Koforidua Secondary Technical School Guard Emmanuel Summers Salifu has expressed his delight following his selection in Ghana’s first ever High School and College Draft by Marshalls University College.

The program, which is an initiative by elite sports management firm Rite Sports Limited, had talented individuals in basketball from all parts of the country converge at the University of Ghana to be taken through several drills for educational scholarships to some of the West African country’s top institutions.

Speaking to Basketballghana.com following his selection by the 2016 Private Universities Sports Association Games (PUSAG) Basketball Champions, Salifu glad he was one of the few selected in the uber competitive program.

“I feel so happy at the moment and am so proud I was able to be selected for this draft and it has also given me an opportunity to better myself not only in my sporting department but as a student as well so I am so happy to be part of this event” he said.

Marshalls Coach James Okine, who was present during the process, was impressed about the talent of his selections and noted the draftees will improve Marshalls basketball program further.

Summers will pair with his older brother and 2015 Sprite Ball High School Championship Most Valuable Player Mishael Jamani Salifu.
