Accra Academy Basketball Coach Curlsbonny Owusu has heaped mounds of praise on Rite Sports Limited for organizing the ground breaking 2016 High School and College Draft successfully.
The well attended event had talented players from many parts of Ghana converge at the University of Ghana to be evaluated for scholarships from some of the country’s top educational institutions.
Owusu, who was at the premium sports management firm event, ended up selecting five players for the Academy’s basketball team. Speaking to Basketballghana.com, he stated his impressions about the process.
“First of all I just have to commend Rite Sports for organizing such a wonderful program and event for we the coaches to spot up and coming basketball players out there. I feel excited and blessed to be part of such an event because out of this I was able to come out with five players who will be going through some process for our basketball team towards the upcoming tournament (Sprite Ball)” he said.
The young tactician shored up his ranks by selecting a point guard, center and shooting guard as he seeks to lead Accra Academy to a much better campaign at the tenth edition of the Sprite Ball High School Championship slated for January 2017.
Accra Academy lost all three preliminary group games in this year’s tournament including the embarrassing 1-18 loss to Koforidua Secondary Technical School.
