Accra Basketball League Women’s Division last round of games will be honored later today at the Lebanon House in Tudu, Accra as division leaders Braves of Customs take on Reformers of Prisons at 15:00 GMT prior to Navy’s showdown with Fire Service.
Braves can bag another title with another unbeaten streak should the team beat Reformers of Prisons who will be motivated to end the season on a high after an up and down journey throughout the year. The side can always count 2016 Most Valuable Player of the Year Matilda Gordon for monster rebounds and punishing opponents in the post with sheer finesse and brute strength.
On the other hand, Reformers can also count on High School Female Player of the Year Juliana Cudjoe to bump the team’s bench production to augment those of Promise Ofori and Augustina Amuzu.
The final game between Fire Service and Navy is a must watch despite both sides languishing in the bottom half of the division and combining for just a win in 18 games thus far in the season. Navy will have one final chance to convert their exciting play into a win before the season ends.
Fire Service sits above Navy in the standings due to a solitary win it recorded over the latter in a first round matchup. Should Navy win, Fire will end the season bottom in the standings due to an inferior goal difference.
