A huge number of prospective student athletes have converged at the University of Ghana Basketball Court for Day One of the maiden High School and College Draft.
The scheme designed to award talented basketball players scholarships to top rated high schools and tertiary educational institutions in Ghana started on Monday August 22 with players registering their names for the innovative scheme.
The first day will have players taken through several drills in shooting, passing, rebounding and athleticism. The technical team comprising DC Dynamics Coach Feranmi Olulonyo, Ghana Basketball Association General Secretary Rafiq Arthur among others will evaluate players on technical and tactical grounds.
Successful applicants will be awarded scholarships to All Africa University Basketball Champions University of Ghana, Private Universities Sports Association Games Champions Marshalls University College among others.
The High School and College Draft is a Rite Sports Limited initiative.
