Registration for the maiden edition of the High School and College Draft is underway at the University of Ghana Basketball Court. The innovative program, supported by leading financial firm Ecobank, is designed to have talented young individuals showcase their skill for a chance to earn scholarships to Ghana’s top educational institutions.
Registration began at 08:00 GMT as prospective students are taken through various stages of the process. Applicants stand the chance to play basketball and football for top high schools in the West African country including St. Augustine’s College, Mfantsipim School, Pope John Senior High School nad many others.
Senior High School graduates stand the chance of gaining admission to two time Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball champions Accra Polytechnic, All Africa University Games Basketball champions University of Ghana.
University of Ghana Sports Director Dr. Bella Bello Bitugu has hailed the Rite Sports Limited scheme as a unique way to educate the youth and give them the opportunity to showcase their skill.
