The Lebanon House Court in Tudu, Accra will have three tough duels honored later today in the Accra Basketball League Men’s Division I as Reformers of Prisons play Air Force in the first game at 17:00 GMT. Fire Service takes on Navy before DC Dynamics go up against home side Tudu Magic in the final game of the round.
Time is running out for Air Force who sit ninth in the ten team standings having won just a game all season with two left to play including today’s matchup against Reformers. Should the team lose, it will be a likely candidate to drop into Division II.
After going unbeaten in three straight games, the wheels seem to be falling off for Fire Service who have suffered consecutive defeats to Tema Youth and Dynamics. Playing against Navy presents another tough duel for the enormously talented team with eight points to show for in five games thus far.
However, a win for Navy gives the team a better seeding for the playoffs.
Tudu Magic’s rejuvenated form and play has steered the team to two wins over Navy and Holy Family resulting in an improved record of four wins in five games. On the other hand, Dynamics know a win will keep them up in the elite division and a favorable seed for the post season.
