Rising superstar eShun delivered a stunning performance at the 2016 Ghana Basketball Awards which took place at the Best Western Premier Hotel in Accra, stating she “had fun”.
The young singer, who gained fame after placing second in the international award winning music reality show X-Factor Nigeria, sang Ghana’s national anthem and her hit single “Meye” before a packed auditorium.
After appearing on premium basketball television “Fast Break” on Ghanaian channel TV3, Basketballghana.com caught up with her for her thoughts on the awards.
“I wasn’t there at the first (edition) and second, I heard it was the third one but personally I think it went really well. It was organized really well and I had fun” she said.
She further stated her willingness to be at next year’s event saying, “Yes. It would be an honor because I think it’s a good thing that they (Rite Sports Limited and Ghana Basketball Association) are awarding basketball players.
It’s a big encouragement to those who are aspiring to go into sports especially basketball so yes definitely I will be there to support”.
Accra Polytechnic and Braves of Customs duo Suleman Abubakar and Matilda Gordon were voted Most Valuable Most Male and Female Player of the Year respectively of the third edition of the Ghana Basketball Awards.
