Ghana Basketball Awards organizers Rite Sports Limited has been lauded by several individuals and entities after another successful Awards ceremony which took place at the Best Western Premier Hotel in Accra.
Accra Polytechnic and Braves of Customs duo Matilda Gordon and Suleman Abubakar won overall Most Valuable Female and Male Player of the Year respectively.
The well attended glitzy ceremony was unanimously serenaded after the near perfect sequence of handing out awards, video sessions and entertaining acts from Comedian DKB and singer eShun who charmed the crowd with melodious tunes from her “Meye” single.
During and after the ceremony, the sports management company and Chief Executive Officer Yaw Sakyi Afari, were commended for executing the well planned event and bringing to life the award scheme.
Ghana Basketball Association Chairman David Addo Ashong, who was at the event, was delighted with turn of events and stated his Association’s ever readiness to partner Rite Sports.
Former Accra Polytechnic Guard Emmanuel Dickson congratulated the company for a job well done.
Host of highly rated basketball television show Dunk Talk, Ekow Fletcher, followed suit to congratulate the entire team for the excellent work done over the years stating, “ Mr Sakyi, I am proud to be associated with this Game (Basketball) and you endorsed that with a colorful event…kudos to you and your team”.
Winners of the third edition of the Awards were chosen based on votes from the public, selection committee, members of the media and electoral college make up of coaches and captains.
