Galaxy Basketball moved up from last place in the Accra Basketball League Men’s Division II standings following a breathtaking 56-43 win over Junior Reformers of Prisons. The side entered the game ranked bottom of the five team standing with just a win from six games played and seven points.
However, the crucial win coupled with CYO’s absence in the round’s fixtures, meant Galaxy leap frog the latter into fourth place. The side has has an up and down season thus far as a run of four straight losses in the first round ended with a close win over CYO but lost the subsequent game against Tema Youth before recording a win over Reformers.
League leaders Adenta Leopards continue to pace the division and are on track to move into the first division after yet another win; this time over Tema Youth by beating them 68-46.
