Ghanaian Shooting Guard Alhaji Mohammed has resigned with Romanian league side BC Mures Targu-Mures after an impressive debut season.

The well traveled journeyman played an instrumental role for the side last season as he averaged 19.3points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.5 steals in 31 games; Mures featured in the final game of the Liga Nationala in Romania.

This should come as good news for the Romanian outfit since Mohammed’s intense play on both ends of the court has proved crucial for the team’s projected outlook in the upcoming season.

Due to his stellar production, Mohammed was voted into the Eurobasket.com All Romanian League Guard of the Year and All Imports Team of the Year. Prior to signing for Mures last season, Mohammed played for Sigal Pristhina in Kosovo and played in the FIBA Europe Cup for the side.

The 35 year old was born to a Ghanaian father in Chicago and was undrafted after graduating from the University of Louisville. He has since played for several teams including Idaho Stampede in the NBA Development League (D League), webmoebel Baskets in Germany and Al Kuwait.

His older brother Nazr Mohammed is an 18 year NBA veteran who won the 2005 Championship with the San Antonio Spurs.
