2016 Ghana Basketball Award is under a month away and fixtures in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division later today will give voters another chance to have a closer look at nominees for the upcoming event.
Home side Reformers of Prisons will take on winless, bottom side Navy in the first game at 15:00 GMT before league leaders Braves of Customs play Galaxy in the headlining game of the round. All four teams head into the matchups with lots of intent on winning.
Braves will be looking to extend its winning record, Galaxy seeking for an ascent in the standings and Navy will be hoping to finally turn their exciting plays into wins for the season.
On the side, some individuals will be aiming for something more than a win as both games will feature nominees for the Awards. Reformers will have High School Female Player of the Year nominee Juliana Cudjoe on its roster against Navy.
In the follow up game, Selina Quaye of Galaxy and Braves duo Berlinda Boateng and Matilda Gordon will line up against each other in a game that promises loads of excitement.
The 2016 Ghana Basketball Awards will take place on August 12 at the Best Western Premier Hotel in Accra.
