Golden State Warriors All-Star forward Draymond Green was reportedly arrested on Sunday for an altercation in a bar in East Lansing, Michigan. Green was released though on a $200 bond and will be arraigned in court for the incident on July 20. If convicted, Green could serve a maximum 93 days in jail and pay a $500 fine.
The Warriors issued a statement Sunday, saying they were gathering information but provided no comment. Green addressed the arrest Tuesday, telling reporters that he believes the whole thing will be “resolved rather quickly.”
From ESPN:
“I think when things happen, I think you meet them head-on,” Green told reporters Tuesday in Aspen, Colorado. “My legal team is handling it. It will be resolved really quickly. As a public figure, I just can’t put myself in certain situations. It’s something that I’ll learn from and just move on.”
Green will look to move on with the rest of his summer, which is rather busy because he was selected to play for Team USA in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.
