Men’s division II games in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) scheduled to take place later today, have been called off by league officials to fix a tweak in the fixtures timetable.
Per reports gathered by Basketballghana.com, the postponement was due to address an issue with the division’s fixtures deemed necessary to alleviate problems in the foreseeable future. The league’s board is expected to fix the problem and name a new date to honour the games.
The postponement will affect CYO and Junior Reformers game and league leaders Adenta Leopards game against Galaxy at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.
Originally planning to play without three key members Coach Meme Falconer, Emmanuel Wolff and Muhaimin Guba, postponing the games comes as a major relief to Leopards.
The trio is in South Africa after playing instrumental roles in getting University of Ghana a gold medal in basketball at the All Africa University Games. Adenta Leopards are yet to lose a game this season having won all four games.
